Every year, GOV brings together up to 2,000 Indigenous youth delegates as well as chaperones, Elders, speakers, guests, entertainment, staff and volunteers. Young Indigenous people from all across Canada are invited to join us to explore, to learn and to engage with culture among peers.

Volunteers are a crucial part of our event! We could not host this event without the help of hundreds of volunteers each gathering. Volunteers share their skills, passion and experience. They send youth a powerful message; that they are worthy of our time and energy. GOV offers a wide array of volunteer opportunities, which all have a direct impact in the lives of Indigenous youth.

This year we are hoping to recruit over 100 volunteers. Volunteers are asked to do a minimum of two 4-hour shifts over the course of the event. We need help in all areas: site set-up and take-down, registration, security, assisting Elders, venue guides, breakfast and lunch help, evening entertainment, greeters, plus other areas.
